A Brock Goodman MBA will provide you with the academic knowledge, real world experience and the confidence to use your skills to make a difference.
You'll be adaptive and relevant, ready for any challenge your future holds. We offer you the flexibility to specialize in your area of interest and include the foundational courses that make an MBA graduate a true success.
Your success as an MBA grad is rooted in our focus on a strong integrative and practical approach to management, and a desire for you to succeed as an individual and as part of our community. Our diverse program is composed of classmates from around the world and across Canada. This diversity of ages, academic backgrounds and professions, combined with small class sizes, encourages a collaborative, not competitive environment.
Candidate selection
Candidates are selected based on their academic ability, professional and leadership experience, and future potential for achievement and success in the business world. At Goodman, we encourage students to nurture and develop both sides of their brain by growing personally and academically. Here are the basic requirements:
- Four-year bachelor's degree in any field (Canadian equivalent)
- GPA: B / 75% (Canadian equivalent), calculated based on the equivalent of the last two academic years of study in your undergraduate degree
- English proficiency is required
- Work experience is preferred but not required!
- GMAT or GRE: See below
GMAT or GRE results for admission to the Goodman MBA
In lieu of a GMAT/GRE score, applicants who meet all other requirements, may be considered for admission conditional on the successful completion of a quantitative skills development and/or business communication course, prior to entry into the MBA. These preparatory courses are offered through the Goodman School of Business, in a flexible online asynchronous format from August 4th to 26th, 2026.
GMAT/GRE waivers will be considered for applicants who meet all other requirements and who:
- have completed/are completing an undergraduate degree with an average of ≥ 80% (Canadian equivalent, without rounding) in the last 2 years of the degree;
- have completed/are completing a graduate degree with an average of ≥ 80% (Canadian equivalent, without rounding);
- have completed the final exam required for a professional designation (e.g. CFA Level 3, CPA CFE);
- or who can demonstrate at least 3 years of significant and relevant post-graduate work experience.

Deadline to apply
Application deadlines vary based on your status:
Deadlines for Canadian citizens and permanent residents
There are no set application deadlines for domestic students. Domestic applicants are recommended to apply at least three months before the start of their desired entry point. Applications will be accepted until the program is full but applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible.
If you plan on applying after August 1 for a Fall term (September) start, or after November 1 for a Winter term (January) start, please contact the Goodman Graduate Programs Office first.
Deadlines for international students
International applicants are encouraged to apply by May 1 for a Fall term start, to allow for application and visa processing times.
Applicants applying after this deadlines may still submit an application but are recommended to consult IRCC estimated visa processing times and contact the Goodman Graduate Programs Office first.
Co-operative education (co-op)
Co-op is paid work experience that you can add to your resume upon graduation from our MBA program. Full-time students pursuing their MBA in-person at Goodman, who maintain an average of 75%, as well as achieve sufficient English language proficiency, are eligible to participate in co-op. Students who choose to enroll in the co-op program attend workshops, seminars and speaker series that are designed to help them discover the opportunities and industries that await them during their co-op work placement and post-MBA.
Most co-op placements are four months in length; however, co-op placements can be extended to eight or 12 months. International and domestic students are eligible for co-op. There are no separate application requirements for the co-op program. Learn more about co-op on the Brock website.
